Proactive planning ensures that instructional technology, information systems, and telecommunications are relevant and continually advance educational, operational, and stakeholder engagement excellence.

D205 Mobile Learning Implementation (1:1 Computing)

MLI205 Logo.jpg

In 2015-2016 District 205 embarked on the Mobile Learning Implementation (MLI) to advance the use of technology for learning. Instructional coaches were introduced to support teachers instructionally and each student in grades 6 through 12 was provided with a Chromebook computer. In 2018-2019 all students grades 2-12 are provided with a Chromebook and students in grades K and 1 are provided with iPads.  See the MLI@205 Parent Information site below for more details and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ).

Keeping students safe is a priority for our school district. Beginning in 2018-2019, students in grades K through 8 will have access to YouTube videos in "Restricted Mode" for learning purposes. YouTube Restricted Mode uses teacher approvals, community flagging, age restrictions and other signals to identify and filter out inappropriate content. While no filter is 100 percent accurate, YouTube Restricted Mode will help our younger learners access educational content while avoiding most inappropriate content.

See this parent information flyer for more information. Please contact your child’s school if you have questions.

District staff and students can purchase software, including Microsoft products, at significant discounts off of standard retail prices. PC and Mac software is available. To order software through ILTPP, visit, and use the menu selections to drill down to K-12, Illinois, then Elmhurst CUSD 205.  Please note, ILTPP pricing differs for staff and students - be sure to select the correct product pricing.
